Day 1: Depart Arusha to Katavi National Park
Your safari starts as you depart from Arusha and arrive at Katavi National Park. After lunch at Chada Luxury Tented Camp, embark on an afternoon game drive followed by an evening walking activity, giving you an up-close encounter with the wilderness. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Chada Tented Camp.
Day 2: Katavi National Park
Kickstart your day with a morning walking safari in the Katavi floodplain, exploring the natural beauty of the area. Later, engage in an afternoon game drive across Katavi, enjoying a picnic lunch amidst the wildlife. Your overnight stay will be at a Fly-Camping site.
Day 3: Katavi National Park
Another exciting day in Katavi awaits. After breakfast, venture into the plains for a full day of adventure, with a picnic lunch break. Explore the interior of Katavi on a game drive, absorbing the stunning landscapes and wildlife. Return to Chada Tented Camp for dinner and rest.
Day 4: Mahale Mountains National Park
After breakfast, depart for Mahale Mountains on a shared chartered flight. Arrive at Greystoke Camp for lunch, followed by an afternoon trek in the Mahale Mountains. The day’s experiences will connect you with the breathtaking natural beauty of the area. Dinner and an overnight stay at Greystoke Luxury Camp.
Day 5: Mahale Mountains National Park
Embark on a day of exploration and discovery. Engage in bird-watching and chimpanzee tracking in the Mahale Mountains, encountering unique wildlife and experiencing the lush forest environment. Enjoy picnic lunches amidst the tranquility of the mountain forest and spend the afternoon on walking safaris. The day concludes with leisure time along the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Dinner and an overnight stay at Greystoke Camp.
Day 6: Departure
Bid farewell to this remarkable journey. After breakfast, you’ll be transferred by boat and vehicle to the airstrip for a shared chartered flight back to Arusha or Dar, marking the end of your safari adventure.
